What is a LAN?
A LAN(Local Area Network) Party is where PONG rents out a room on campus, and sets up everything needed to have a good time to spend over a day gaming. People bring their laptops, desktops, and consoles with the common goal to have fun, eat some food, and play some video games.
What is provided by PONG?
PONG provides a space to sit at (roughly 24″ x 40″) with a chair and two outlets for your computer/laptop. PONG also provides a blistering connection to the internet and all the servers for the tournaments.
What can or should I bring to an event?
- Keyboard & Mouse
- Desk chair (optional)
What games should I have installed for the LAN?
Before the LAN, you can start a discussion about what games people will be playing, and what tournaments will be held on our Facebook page here. Please refer there for information on what games you should make sure to have with you.
Please try to download any updates or additional content before you come! Although we have always had a fast internet connection at our events, internet connectivity and speeds are NOT guaranteed. You should be ready to play before you come.
Can I bring food, or is there food available?
Food is not provided by PONG. During normal business hours there are venues within the building that sell food. Outside food will have to be eaten outside of the LAN space.
