FAQ

General Questions

What is PONG?

PONG is a student-run organization of UW-Stout. It consists of people who enjoy getting together and playing video games.

Can I be a part of it?

Absolutely! Watch the event calendar for upcoming meetings or LANs!

Do I have to be a PC Gamer?

Heck No! PONG accepts all forms of gaming. If you like consoles, PC gaming, board games, or any other type of gaming, stop by and play. If you have a game you want to play, bring it with and PONG can put your console on a projector. Usually you can get a pretty big group going in on a single game.

Do I have to be good at Video Games?

Of course not. PONG was created to have fun; the more people come to play, the better time everyone has!

What kinds of games do you play?

PONG events are full of gamers from different backgrounds, and as such a diverse number of games are played. These are some of the common favorites:

  • Battlefield
  • Suicide Survival
  • Kerbal Space Program
  • Left 4 Dead 1 and 2
  • Trackmania (we host a tournament each LAN!)
  • Call of Duty
  • Counter Strike: Global Offensive (Another game we host a tournament for)
