They are proposing allocating us $2,705 for all of our events -- this will cover extra advertising, as well as the usual building fees, but none is allocated for equipment.

lol...I've had enough of the SSA's bullshit. I'm done even worrying about their budget allocating, they can kiss my fucking ass.
We even told them in our hearing that we've been shorted on equipment costs for 5 years running - still nothing. I suggest that our contingency hearing we "educate them" by a mass turnout and a fan-fucking-tastic presentation as to why we need the equipment. That may get their attention....

I was told by somebody in SSA to try the tech fee for equipment. Count me in for mass turn out.

It's the Technology Fee. I say if StoutMedia (a new student org as of last year with NO track record what-so-ever) can apply for $36,000 in camera equipment and get it, we can get what we want, too. It's all about the exec board's willingness and desire to carry through with it.
I totally agree with yums, (if it were me I might even bring that little fact up to somebody).
